چکیده
Abstract Marine organic waste can be managed into compost products. Co-composting is a biological process to decompose two or more types of matter stable humus substance and expected overcome the disadvantages composting single matter. This study aims produce with better characteristics than marine singly addition other materials such as cow dung rice straw. The method used Barkley for 7 weeks. Parameters observed were pH, temperature, humidity, C/N, macronutrients, micronutrients, physical properties odor, color, texture. Compost quality have met Indonesian national standard (SNI SNI 19-7030-2004) so that it developed. macronutrients (Nitrogen 1.47%; Phosphorus 0.38% Potassium 0.28%) micronutrients (Fe 0.97%; Mn 0.09%; Zn 47.74 ppm Cu 7.43 ppm).

Co-composting of livestock manure with rice straw: characterization and establishment of maturity evaluation system.
Composting is considered to be a primary treatment method for livestock manure and rice straw, and high degree of maturity is a prerequisite for safe land application of the composting products. In this study pilot-scale experiments were carried out to characterize the co-composting process of livestock manure with rice straw, as well as to establish a maturity evaluation index system for the c...
متن کاملComposting of rice straw with effective microorganisms (EM) and its influence on compost quality
This study aims to assess the effect of EM application on the composting process of rice straw with goat manure and green waste and to evaluate the quality of both compost treatments. There are two treatment piles in this study, in which one pile was applied with EM and another pile without EM. Each treatment was replicated three times with 90 days of composting duration. The parameters for the...
متن کاملCo-Composting of Poultry Manure with Different Organic Amendments
To study the influence of different organic amendments on the quality of poultry manure compost, three pilot composting trials were carried out with different mixes: poultry manure/carcasse meal/ashes/grape pomace (Pile 1), poultry manure/ cellulosic sludge (Pile 2) and poultry manure (Pile 3). For all piles, wood chips were applied as bulking agent. The process was monitored, over time, by eva...
متن کاملMicrobial biomass and enzyme activities in submerged rice soil amended with municipal solid waste compost and decomposed cow manure.
We studied the suitability of municipal solid waste compost (MSWC) application to submerged rice paddies in the perspective of metal pollution hazards associated with such materials. Experiments were conducted during the wet seasons of 1997, 1998 and 1999 on rice grown under submerged condition, at the Agriculture Experimental Farm, Calcutta University at Baruipur, West Bengal, India. The treat...
